"What, I'm already at the end of the Shoe Challenge?!"

Well, that's not really what I was thinking when this picture was taken, but let's just assume I did.
Actually, let's not really assume I did in fact think anything too coherent that day. It was the beginning of the flu I'm currently having, and at that time I was already feeling the first onset of fever and a sore throat.

So, this is it then. I've reached the end of my collection. There are two more pairs left which I may or may not wear during the next months. But I'm going to make this the final entry of the Shoe Challenge for now.

What can I say? It was fun. Although I felt a bit hurried during the summer, for sheer fear of not being able to save all my sandals in time. And I wish I had taken it slower in the beginning, because the real nice outfit ideas often came to me much later. But back then I didn't know what the weather would be like, and how easy or difficult it would actually be to wear and photograph all of my shoes. With some I was truly lucky that I got the opportunity at all.
Would I do it again? Sure. There are still a lot of outfit ideas in my head, and as I said: It was fun to choose and mix.

Okay, I've reached #30. There's only one pair left that I definitely want to save for next year, and two others that I'm not sure about. But I still have about 3 1/2 months to decide.
We'll see.

I had originally left the house that morning wearing a longsleeved velvet top, but it became so warm so quickly that I took it off as soon as I arrived at work. It would probably have looked a bit better in the original version, but I really couldn't bring myself to put that tight warm top on again for the photo.

Now that both the end of my shoe collection and the end of the summer get nearer (I don't want summer to end!!!) it's getting increasingly difficult to find occasions for wearing the last few pairs of shoes.
I may have taken the last possible moment for these, because as you can see they have heels which means I can't wear them at work. My next day off will be next Saturday, and until then who knows what the weather will be like. It may be snowing for all I know...
So I chose to overdress a bit when I went to the weekly rehearsal with my friends who will support me at my concert in October as "muses" and "hyenas".
At least I'm through with my sandals now. And that's a good feeling. :D

Yep, I like Heavy Metal, too. And I regularly visit the RockHarz Festival with my friends.

The clothes I wear in this photo are among the oldest I have. I bought the T-shirt from some street vendor in Hamburg back in 1992. The jeans are original stretch jeans from the late 80s / early 90s (I got them second hand ca. 1993 - and they are still stretchy and still fit!), and the basis for my "Kutte" is a denim jacket I got in 1987... (I don't know if there's an english expression for "Kutte". It's a sleeveless denim jacket onto which you sew patches of your favourite bands - and in my case even other stuff. It's the typical clothing of metal fans over here.)
By the way: That symbol on my left leg is the band logo of Queensryche. I drew it with a sharpie... :P

This nice pig stands in the entrance of a shop directly opposite from where I work. It's an oriental carpet cleaning company and I don't know their connection to pigs, but it was a nice motif. And it's quite sturdy. It has even survived grown men sitting on it.
